five little acorns 
sitting in a tree
how happy they would be
if only the furry harbingers of death 
did not come
to crack their shiny shells 
and spoil their fun
maybe they will fall afar 
and roll away
find a little lawn to dance and sway
a real rockin' rollin' nut par-tay
but then they would probably die in a gruesome car accident or something
